Read Your Own Meter & Calculate Your Next Bill

In today's busy world it is not always possible to be at home when the Meter Reader calls to get a reading. You may have to lock your yard or maybe your dog doesn't like strangers. To avoid having your bill estimated, paying the wrong amounts or maybe getting a nasty suprise on your bill later in the year you can send us your reading.

To read your own meter follow these steps:

  1. Locate your meter - it is usually located near the front of your property.
  2. When reading the meter record all the digits inclusive of the last digit to the right that rotates consistently as water passes through the meter. The recorded number should not exceed seven digits.
  3. Click Calculate to check the usage and the bill amount.
  4. Click Submit to send it to us.

Where to find your meter number & reading

Finding your meter number and reading will depend on the type of meter you have, below are examples of common water meters we have

Elster Meter

These meters are "all in one" units, the meter number is shown here in white with the reading being directly below.

Badger Meters

Badger

The meter number is shown here on the metal casing, the reading is on the meter face.

Neptune Meters

Neptune

Similarly with Badger you will find the meter number on the casing, lift the cover to view the meter face and reading. In this example the meter number is behind the cover when lifted.
