Delete Your BWS Account

Permanently delete your app account from inside BWS, or request deletion if you cannot sign in.

Delete your account in BWS

This is the fastest way to delete your account:

  1. Open BWS.
  2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
  3. Select the Settings tab.
  4. Scroll down and select Delete Account.
  5. Read the warning and select Delete Account again to confirm.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Request deletion without the app

If you cannot access BWS, send a deletion request from the email address registered to your BWS account. Include your full name and registered email address so BWS can locate and verify the account.

Do not send your password, verification code, or full water-service account number by email. BWS may contact you for reasonable identity verification before processing the request.

Data deleted with your BWS account

  • Your BWS sign-in profile.
  • Water-service account links and nicknames associated with your BWS profile.
  • The push-notification token registered to that BWS account.
  • Other app-specific data associated solely with the deleted BWS account.

Information stored locally on a device may remain until BWS storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled.

Data that may be retained

Deleting your BWS account does not close or delete your underlying Belize Water Services customer or water-service account.

BWS may retain utility records including customer, service, billing, balance, meter, usage, audit, security, and dispute records for the periods required to provide water service and meet operational, legal, regulatory, accounting, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping obligations. These records are not maintained solely as part of your BWS login.
